Abomination endless darkest dungeon10/4/2023 ![]() ~ Broken Key adds +15 Acc & 35% stun-chance - plus extra stress. HoAbyss // -50% Damage // 90 Accuracy // 9% crit-mod 110% base chance to stun. Manacle // -60% Damage // 95 Accuracy // 1% crit-mod 90% base chance to stun. The Broken Key can't exactly be tagged "OP" if using it still keeps the hero comparable (if not weaker than a vanilla hero with a vanilla trinket). There will no doubt be others who don't - be they vanilla purists or those who choose not to buy them - but the goalposts moved a long time ago. The DLC has been out for years and most people have them at this point. The fact you might lack a particular trinket doesn't make beastform more viable than manacle, because manacle still dominates most of the game like a bad habit, and beastform still retains all the exact same reasons why you simply shouldn't use it. It's just the obvious answer to the accuracy and stun-chance baseline for a few crystals. I don't recall ever 'requiring' that trinket to dominate with Abom, with or without DLC. Sadly, spamming manacle is almost always the best option. Even when using JESTAL, they're at their best when not supporting all day.Ībomination is one of the best ST-Stunners in the game, and stuns by themselves are obnoxious. You can do that, or you could have a team that doesn't hinge so heavily on additional factors. A similar example of that trope is "just pull targets for the Leper". ![]() In short - if you require X to ensure Y merely functions, then it's generally a waste. Relegating a Jester to one button is the most nonsensical option, because now, you are basically forcing one hero slot to sacrifice everything in a bid to make another one work at half-efficiency for longer. ![]() Beastform is nice and all, but it's just not practical or worthwhile in the grand scheme. Their biggest selling points are in human form, not beastform - which is a steroid for niche moments. The actual answer is to simply not bother having an Abomination transform. You can take 3 off, forcing you to do the one you need every move.Įven with affliction, the random action the hero does comes from the moves you allow him. ![]()
